Short summary A Greek medium sized company that produces preserved fruits of premium quality is interested in acquiring proper technology for detecting the quality of the fruits (mainly peaches, apricots and pears) before the beginning of the composting process. Partners from Spain, Italy and France are sought to provide the requested technology and offer technical support. The requested type of cooperation is commercial agreement with technical assistance.

Full description The Greek company is one of the largest canneries in Greece. The company’s line of business includes the canning of fruits, vegetables, and fruit and vegetable juices. Their product range extends from a rich array of fruits such as peaches and apricots, olives, jams, toppings and aseptic products to innovative product variations such as fruit cocktail in white wine. The company produces and supplies more than 40,000 tons of fruit annually worldwide working in association with well over 2,500 producers. Also, they cooperate with the largest retailers around the world supplying partners in various countries across five continents. However, the company is currently facing a significant issue. Some of the fruits they procure (mainly peaches, apricots and pears) are too soft (or rotten) and not hard enough for the composting process. To address this issue, the company is looking for a complete system, technology solution or expertise that can detect the quality of fruit. This can be done either in the crop (field) or before the delivery of the fruits consignments to the company. Permanently installed systems, but also mobile ones (e.g. vehicles, drones) may be suitable. The company is looking for technology partners from Spain, Italy and France. Type of partnering considered is commercial agreement with technical assistance.

Technical Specification or Expertise Sought The partner sought have the proper technology and expertise to detect the quality of fruits (peaches, apricots and pears) that are used for composting. Permanently installed systems, but also mobile ones (e.g. vehicles, drones) may be suitable.
