Project objectives:

Short summary A HE consortium is looking for a company able to develop natural/bio-based/organic moulded and precast materials for different building solutions that will be used for heritage building restoration/improvement. The objective of the proposal is to develop a combined solution to improve the accessibility, energy efficiency and sustainability of heritage buildings without impacting the essence of the architecture. Expressions of interest should be sent before 15th of December 2022.

Full description A group of organisations including research institutions and companies is developing a proposal for a project that will develop solutions for the renovation of heritage buildings. The proposal includes materials, renewable energies, digital tools and social science experts to develop a holistic solution that can make heritage buildings more energy efficient, sustainable and accessible. This call for expression of interest is related to the materials manufacturing and alternative materials. The partnership includes all the experts required to ensure all the objectives under the scope of the call (Energy Efficiency, Digitalization, Social Science, etc.). The proposal will be presented for the HORIZON EUROPE framework programme, PILLAR II, CLUSTER 5 under the topic HORIZON-CL5-2022-D4-02-03: Sustainable and resource-efficient solutions for an open, accessible, inclusive, resilient and low-emission cultural heritage: prevention, monitoring, management, maintenance, and renovation (Built4People) 100% Grant for all the participants. The deadline for the proposal is 24th of January 2023 at 17h00.

Technical Specification or Expertise Sought The consortium is seeking for an industrial partner with expertise in natural/bio-based/organic moulded and precast materials for different building solutions. The other partners in the consortium will collaborate in the development of new ingredients to overcome potential challenges with this material. Production capability to produce about 100m2 of materials is required.
