The project SPIN will demonstrate the potential of key compounds extracted and purified by Microalgal dark fermentation. The key extracted compounds will be:

starch to be used to be used in starch-based bio-plastics involved in the development of innovative packaging solutions [thermostable, compostable (eventually, ready for home-compost certification), self-protected or very low permeability of gaseous species] for food and beverage;

antioxidant molecules to be used in food supplement.
