Project objectives:

Short summary The University from Lithuania, which has 13 institutes, 3 research centers and 22 laboratories, has created and offer cement concrete modules for pedestrian and bicycle paths. University is looking for partners to work under a licensing agreement or technological cooperation agreement.

Full description The University of Lithuania developed cement concrete modules that are suitable for the construction of pedestrian and bicycle paths and are stronger and of higher quality than currently used alternatives - pavers or other cement concrete blocks. This material reduces the risk of collapse and distortion of sidewalks, bike paths, roads and ensures their durability.

Advantages and innovations There are not many trails in the world made of this material. In Lithuania, cement concrete blocks are currently used only for the construction of temporary sites or paths. The uniqueness of this technology sollution is quality. Cement concrete module panels ensure a longer service life of the walkways, in addition to having an aesthetic appearance. Due to their durability, these modules can help reduce the costs of road construction and maintenance of pedestrian and bicycle paths in the long term. The material is characterized by strength and a longer service life. With its help, it would be possible to reduce the costs for the construction and maintenance of pedestrian and bicycle paths in the long term. Also, cement concrete modules are suitable for the laying of sites intended for temporary parking of heavy vehicles.
