Project objectives:

To develop a simple, low-cost and facile method via chemistry route to fabricate nanomaterials having multiple characteristics such as low reflection, high absorption and non-dispersive over a broadband of Terahertz radiations. The expected impact :

  1. selective absorbers/emitters suitable for low and high temperature applications at harsh environments
  2. variable absorbers for calibration metrology
  3. the absorption can be extended over the wide spectrum i.e., from microwave to infrared
  4. nano-texturing of the surface promotes anti-reflection properties and hence improves the absorption
