H2020-SESAR-VLD2-01-2020: Optimised use of Airspace

Based operations, there is a need to evolve to a truly flexible organisation and management of airspace structures, just like all resources of the ATM network. Considering traffic hotspots identified in the Airspace Architecture Study Transition Plan, the VLD aims at demonstrating an optimised and coordinated organisation of airspace activations and reservations, able to support optimised traffic flows in a free route environment as well as other uses of airspace (e.g. military).
