Emilia-Romagna: Grants for the Development of Critical Technologies

A total of €45 million has been allocated under the new Emilia-Romagna call for proposals aimed at supporting the development of new investments and research activities in strategic technology sectors-namely innovative, emerging, cutting-edge solutions and/or technologies capable of reducing the EU’s strategic dependencies.

Projects with a minimum value of €1 million will be funded, provided they fall within one of the three STEP areas: digital and deep-tech technologies, clean and efficient technologies, and biotechnology, including critical medicines.

The call is open to both SMEs and large enterprises with a registered office in Emilia-Romagna.

The incentive consists of a non-repayable grant determined based on the applicable aid scheme, company size, and type of project. The maximum grant amount available is €3 million.

Applications must be submitted during one of the three scheduled application windows and will be assessed through a ranked evaluation procedure. The first application window will be open from 5 to 27 February.
