Up to €800 million is foreseen to be allocated under the 2016 CEF Energy Work Programme. The 2016 CEF Energy Calls for Proposals will finance projects of common interest in the energy sector, namely in electricity and gas.

The launch of the First call for proposals (indicative budget 200 million euro) is expected in mid-March, whereas the publication of the Second call for proposals is planned in June.
