Call for Proposals – Self-Production of Energy from Renewable Sources in SMEs

The national call for the self-production of energy from renewable sources in SMEs reopens with a budget of €178 million. The measure supports the installation of solar photovoltaic or small wind power systems, including storage systems for immediate or deferred self-consumption. The initiative is aimed at Small and Medium Enterprises operating in Italy, with at least one approved financial statement or income tax return filed. Sectors such as coal, primary agriculture, fishing, aquaculture, and activities with high environmental impact are excluded. Eligible projects must involve costs between €30,000 and €1 million. Eligible expenses include RES (Renewable Energy Sources) systems, storage solutions, and digital technologies for self-consumption. The incentive is a non-repayable grant equal to 30% of eligible costs for medium-sized enterprises and 40% for small enterprises. The aid intensity is set at 30% for storage systems and 50% for the implementation of energy audits (up to a maximum of 3% of total expenses). Applications can be submitted to Invitalia from 8 July to 30 September 2025. Projects will be evaluated on a ranking basis.
