The range of beneficiaries on the Development Contracts platform has been expanded with the approval of the Clean Industrial Deal scheme and a new list of supported technologies. The initiative has a budget of €700 million. Development programs must be aimed at the production, including with secondary raw materials, of final products or key specific components of net-zero emissions technologies, as well as the production of related critical raw materials, new or recovered, required for the production of final products or key specific components. The new supported technologies include: photovoltaic panels; wind turbines; batteries and storage systems; heat pumps; green hydrogen electrolyzers; Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage technologies; electric arc furnaces for steel; network infrastructure and production plants; production and recovery of critical raw materials and components of clean technologies. The grant is non-repayable and ranges from 15% to 35% of eligible expenses, with a 20% increase for small businesses and 10% for medium-sized businesses. The minimum investment required is €20 million.
