The Ministry has announced the launch of work to revise and simplify the procedures related to development contracts, with the aim of revitalizing the instrument, speeding up procedures, and making business support even more effective.

The Development Contracts measure supports large-scale strategic investments in the industrial, agri-industrial, tourism, and environmental protection sectors.

The minimum investment is set at €20 million (€7.5 million for the agri-industrial sector), and applications for incentives may be submitted by both SMEs and large enterprises across the national territory (subject to the applicable scheme), either individually or in partnership.

Industrial investment plans may concern the creation of a new production unit or the expansion, conversion, or restructuring of an existing one.

The simplification of procedures and optimization of timelines will make the measure even more accessible for businesses.
