A total of €731 million is available under the new national call Innovation Agreements, aimed at supporting large-scale strategic research and development projects. The call is open to companies based in Italy with at least two financial statements, as well as Research Organizations, which may apply individually or in partnerships (up to a maximum of five participants). Projects must aim to develop new products, processes, or services, or to significantly improve existing ones, through the development of key enabling technologies in specific focus areas: automotive and industrial competitiveness in the transport sector, advanced materials, robotics, semiconductors, quantum technologies, telecommunications networks, submarine cables, virtual and augmented reality. Project budgets must range between €5 million and €40 million. The non-repayable grant covers: up to 60% of costs for small enterprises, up to 50% for medium-sized enterprises, up to 40% for large enterprises. For Research Organizations, the contribution covers 50% for Industrial Research and 25% for Experimental Development. Funding will be awarded through a negotiated evaluation procedure, the application process will be open from January 14th to February 18th.
