The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) has published the draft topics for calls 14 and 15, which are expected to launch in early 2027. These will be the final calls under the current programme.

IHI Call 14, a standard single-stage call, is expected to include four topics focusing on:

• new human-relevant approaches to accelerate the discovery and preclinical development of medicines and innovative health technologies;
• validated predictive approaches for the clinical development of personalised health technologies;
• integrated, scalable and patient-centred care systems;
• readiness of manufacturing and clinical centres for advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs).

IHI Call 15, a standard two-stage call, is expected to comprise two topics:

• developing a common European approach to ensure equitable patient access to compassionate use;
• using surrogate evidence in healthcare decision-making, from early endpoints to long-term outcomes.

Information sessions on the topics, participation rules and procedures will be held closer to the launch. The overall budget and deadlines for the calls have not yet been announced. The official launch remains scheduled for early 2027.
