On 17 November 2025, the ELECTRA project will host an online symposium titled “Plasma Modelling – Methods and Applications”, gathering researchers and professionals from across Europe and beyond to exchange insights on recent advances in plasma science.
The symposium will explore both the theoretical and practical aspects of plasma modelling, with a focus on computational magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), thermophysical property calculations, boundary condition treatments, and thermal radiation modelling. Presentations will also highlight case studies demonstrating how plasma modelling can contribute to industrial and energy applications.
Designed as an open and collaborative event, the symposium aims to foster dialogue between research groups, encourage the sharing of methodologies, and strengthen cooperation within the scientific community. It will feature several thematic sessions throughout the day, addressing the fundamental principles of plasma modelling in the morning and more application-oriented discussions in the afternoon.
More information on the detailed programme and registration can be found on the official ELECTRA website: https://www.electra-horizon.eu/plasma-modelling-online-symposium-on-methods-and-applications/.
The symposium is organized by experts from ELECTRA, SINTEF, PLASMANT, Mintek, and the University of Oulu.
