The fifth newsletter of the KaRMA2020 project focuses on some of the top-performance bio-based end products manufactured within the project. Food trays, polyurethane coated textiles for hospital mattress covers, stretchers and upholstered seat materials, polyurethane fireproof paints, controlled release fertilizers, coated by keratin compounds npk fertilizers with keratin and bio-based thermoset composites for structural application are some of the product made with feathers able to compete with fossil-based alternative.
