The DINAMINE project continues to advance from concept to real-world application, this time deep underground at the Skaland Graphite mine in Norway.
A key milestone was recently reached with the on-site testing of a semi-autonomous drilling jumbo. Engineered for the demanding conditions of underground mining, the jumbo successfully demonstrated automated boom guidance to drill at the tunnel face, marking a significant step toward smarter and safer mine development.
Enhancing its capabilities further, the jumbo operates in direct communication with an automated geological and geotechnical mapping system, enabling real-time optimisation of drill-and-blast performance.
These developments are featured in DINAMINE’s latest project video, which offers a closer look at the innovative technologies being deployed and tested in the field. Watch the video to see how DINAMINE is driving the future of intelligent, data-driven mining.
