The national call for Innovation Agreements opens on January 14th. This initiative supports significant strategic research and development projects.

The call is open to both SMEs and large companies based in Italy, as well as universities and research institutions, for projects to be submitted individually or in partnership.

Proposals must have a minimum amount of €5 million and fall within one of the eight areas identified by the call: automotive and industrial competitiveness in the transportation sector, advanced materials, robotics, semiconductors, quantum technologies, telecommunications networks, submarine cables, and augmented virtual reality.

A non-repayable grant will be awarded, calculated based on eligible expenses: 45% for small businesses, 35% for medium-sized businesses, and 25% for large businesses. A 15% increase in rates is envisaged for effective collaboration between companies and/or research organizations, and for projects implemented in less developed regions.

Applications may be submitted until February 18, 2026, and will be evaluated through a negotiated evaluation process. The available budget amounts to over €730 million.
