A new call has been published for the Industrial Transition Fund, which makes available €134 million through the PNRR to support projects dedicated to environmental protection.

The initiative finances projects aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing resource consumption through reuse, recycling, or recovery of raw materials and/or the use of recycled raw materials. It also funds the installation of self-production plants for renewable energy, hydrogen, and high-efficiency cogeneration systems.

Projects must have a value between €3 million and €20 million.

The Fund offers non-repayable grants with variable intensity depending on the applicable state aid regulation and the cost method (additional costs or full costs), ranging from 15% to 60% of expenses.

The call is open to both SMEs and large enterprises operating in the manufacturing and extractive sectors and based in Italy.

Applications can be submitted from September 17 to December 10, 2025. Evaluation will be conducted on a ranking basis.
