CiaoTech/PNO Group attended the seventh edition of IFIB2017 - the Italian Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy, organized in Rome the last 5th and 6th October. At the event, the CiaoTech team presented the exploitation and dissemination activities that is conducting for the EU-funded project KaRMA2020 - Industrial Feather Waste Valorisation for Sustainable KeRatin-based MAterials to an international public of major actors, from 29 countries, in the fields of circular economy, energy and biorefineries, agro-food, life-sciences, policies on industrial biotech and bioeconomy and bio-based industries.

KaRMA2020, funded under the topic SPIRE-03-2016: Industrial technologies for the valorisation of European bio-resources into high added value process streams, will realise the industrial manufacture and the exploitation of underutilized feather waste stream from poultry industry for the production of fertilizers, packaging, composites and coatings.
