With a financial endowment of €6 million, Lombardy has launched the “Rafforza & Innova” call to support technology transfer.
The measure funds the implementation of technology transfer and innovative solution projects that align with one of the priority areas of the Lombardy Region’s Smart Specialisation Strategy for Research and Innovation. Projects must involve collaboration between SMEs and Research Organisations acting as providers of advanced services tailored to business innovation and research needs.
Applicants must develop a Proof of Concept (PoC), a prototype, or a pilot product (Minimum Viable Product) — either new or improved — to be tested and validated in a simulated real-business environment.
Eligible expenses (within the limits defined by the call) include:
- Costs for technical-scientific and specialized services
- Costs for materials and intangible capital goods (e.g. software, licenses, patent use)
- Personnel costs for staff assigned to the project
- Indirect costs
Projects must involve at least €50,000 in eligible expenses. The incentive consists of a fixed non-repayable grant of €30,000.
Selection is carried out on a first-come, first-served basis. The call is open from 30 June until the allocated funds are exhausted, and in any case no later than 30 June 2026.
