The Next Fashion call for proposals by the Lombardy Region allocates €13 million for research and development projects in the fashion, textile, and accessories sectors. The call is open to both SMEs and large enterprises. Applications must be submitted by a partnership of at least 3 and up to 6 companies, with the mandatory participation of at least one SME. Projects must involve the development and adaptation of efficient and sustainable production, trade, and service models, with a specific impact in terms of technological and production improvement, and must promote collaboration and cross-contamination among high-value enterprises. The total project value must be no less than €500,000, and no single partner may bear more than 70% of the eligible costs. Eligible expenses may include personnel costs, equipment and tools, contract research, knowledge acquisition, patents, and consultancy services. Additional overhead costs and other operating expenses may also be funded. The call provides for a non-repayable grant covering 60% of eligible expenses for small enterprises, 50% for medium-sized enterprises, and 40% for large enterprises, up to a maximum of €1 million per partnership. The application window will remain open until November 17, 2025, and proposals will be evaluated on a ranking basis.
