Lombardy is about to launch a new call for proposals dedicated to boosting innovation projects by encouraging the creation of strategic partnerships between SMEs, large companies, and research institutions. The "Collabora e Innova" measure finances strategic investments for the development of product or process innovations with a minimum amount of €3.5 million. Projects must be submitted in partnerships of at least three entities, including a small or medium-sized enterprise and a research organization, and may include the involvement of large companies. Initiatives must fall within one of the following areas: nutrition, health and life sciences, culture and knowledge, connectivity and information, smart mobility and architecture, sustainability, social development, and advanced manufacturing. The Region will award the most deserving projects a non-repayable grant ranging from 40% to 60% of eligible expenses, based on the size of the company, with a maximum of €5 million per partnership.
