Coordinated by PNO Innovation Spain, the VERNE project is developing performance indicators to measure circularity in tourism across environmental, economic, and social dimensions. Created with input from experts and stakeholders, these KPIs will cover areas like resource use, waste reduction, local impact, and visitor experience. Tested in five diverse European destinations, the framework will guide tourism actors in setting goals, taking action, and tracking progress.
