Since December 2020, the EU-funded Horizon 2020 MAREWIND project is actively working to develop vital novel solutions to help build the next generations of large offshore wind energy generators. The main project aim is to improve the materials, coatings and multi-material architectural performance. For the last 10 months, the consortium has been working on the requirements and demonstration sites where the new materials are to be researched and tested.
