PNO Innovation Italy is preparing a project proposal with SINTEF, a prominent Norwegian industrial actor with proven expertise in sustainable chemistry and circular economy solutions. NIRVANA – ‘New Industrial Routes for Valorisation and Advancement of CO₂ into Non-Fossil Hydrocarbons’ is going to be submitted under the Horizon Europe call ‘HORIZON-CL5-2025-02-D3-27: Using captured CO2 as a resource to replace fossil hydrocarbons in industrial production’.

The project focuses on the conversion of captured CO₂ emissions into high-value chemicals through a combination of biotechnological and catalytic processes for the final production of BTX and propylene derivatives. These will demonstrate an integrated value chain, optimized for resource efficiency and circularity, at a TRL 6 level. More information are available here.
