SENSEI (Societal-ready safE and transparent humaN-technology interactionS for the automatEd mobIlity ecosystem) is a new Horizon Europe project dedicated to making automated driving safer, more transparent, inclusive and trustworthy.
Officially launched during the Kick-Off Meeting in Reggio Emilia, Italy, hosted by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the project brings together 11 partners from six European countries. Over the next three years, the consortium will develop adaptive Human-Technology Interaction (HTI) solutions that place people at the centre of automated mobility.
By co-designing solutions with diverse groups of drivers and validating them through advanced driving simulators and real-world pilots across Europe, SENSEI aims to improve safety, usability and public trust in Level 2 and Level 3 automated driving technologies.
Within the project, PNO Innovation Italia leads Work Package 5, coordinating communication, dissemination, clustering and exploitation activities. The objective is to maximise the visibility, impact and long-term uptake of SENSEI's results by engaging key stakeholders, supporting knowledge transfer and promoting collaboration with relevant European initiatives.
Funded under the Horizon Europe programme, SENSEI will contribute to the development of human-centred automated mobility solutions that respond to both technological and societal needs.
