The new Mini Development Contracts (Mini Contratti di sviluppo) call for the automotive sector provides €300 million to support the green transition and the development of advanced technologies for sustainable mobility.
Eligible projects must have a value of between €5 million and €20 million and focus on the following areas: the development, engineering, testing and production of new vehicles and mobility solutions; the development of components, systems and technologies; and industrial diversification and conversion towards strategic technologies.
Funding is available for the establishment of a new production facility, as well as the expansion, conversion or restructuring of an existing facility. Projects may also include research and development activities and training.
Support consists of a combination of a non-repayable grant and a subsidised loan, covering up to 75% of eligible costs overall.
Applications will be assessed in chronological order of submission.
Particular attention is given to SMEs, with 60% of the available resources reserved for them.
The opening dates for the call will be established by a forthcoming decree.
