Wind energy is becoming increasingly important to Europe’s shift toward clean energy, but it is inherently variable, shaped by changing weather, seasons, grid constraints, operational costs, and evolving regulatory requirements. This makes it hard to predict, plan and invest in onshore wind farms with confidence. In a new video, the TWINVEST project’s coordinator Vijay Nagulapati shares the project’s vision in building a universal, open‑source and cybersecure Digital Twin for onshore wind farms. Now in its second year, TWINVEST’s digital twin brings together data from turbines, grids, the environment, and energy markets to simulate performance and support strategic decision‑making, helping investors and operators compare options and make clearer decisions about future wind projects in Europe.
