Upcoming 2025 LIFE Programme Calls

The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) has announced that the 2025 LIFE Programme calls for proposals are expected to be published on 24 April 2025 on the Funding & Tenders Portal.

The LIFE Programme 2021–2027 is the EU's funding instrument supporting the transition to a sustainable, circular, energy-efficient, renewable-based and climate-resilient economy

For most project types, the application deadline is set for 23 September 2025. Exceptions include Strategic Integrated Projects (SIPs), which follow a two-stage application procedure, and operating grants for NGOs.

The following calls are expected:

  • Standard Action Projects (SAPs) for circular economy and quality of life
  • Standard Action Projects (SAPs) for nature and biodiversity, 
  • Standard Action Projects (SAPs) for climate change mitigation and adaptation 
  • Coordination and Support Action Grants (CSA) for clean energy transition sub-programme:
  • Strategic Integrated Projects (SNAPs/SIPs):
    • Concept notes: Deadline date: 4 September 2025
    • Full proposals: Deadline date: 5 March 2026 
  • Technical Assistance preparation for SIPs and SNAPs: 
  • Technical Assistance Replication: 
  • Specific Operating Grant Agreements (SGA OG) to Non-Governmental Organisations - on invitation to Framework Partnership Partners only
  • LIFE Preparatory Projects (addressing ad hoc Legislative and Policy Priorities – PLP)
