Short summary The Spanish telecommunication expert has devised an innovative solid platform that consists of a distributed and decentralized communications platform to manage mobility in urban areas of the car fleet in terms of CO2 emissions. The inventor seeks partners capable to utilize the invention and develop the platform.

Full description The Spanish inventor is a specialist of systems and applications for the telecommunications and energy industry, being affiliated with universities and institutes, and backed up by a wide range of academic resources. The vehicle efficiency in the use of fossil fuels management platform proposes a multimodal network made up of vehicles, servers of the regional administration (e.g. tax agencies, vehicle inspection delegations) and potentially computer equipment of the regional gas stations. The system will have a cloud computing centre and a Blockchain backbone. The platform will manage in an unassisted and automated way which vehicles can access, circulate and park in the streets or areas of the city, notifying the user himself, and administrative operators, to admonish, denounce, sanction or fine by digital means and notify the fines to those polluting vehicles that have fraudulently accessed regulated areas with low polluting emissions. Partners are sought to develop the platform, which can potentially be financed by a concessionary company that manages the platform and/or co-financed with the administration. The primary partners could include, among others, the regional administration, together with agreements with e.g. secondary partners, such as oil companies, vehicle inspection delegations and tax agencies.

Advantages and innovations
  • The platform helps the sustainability of the consumption process of internal combustion vehicles, since it rationalizes its use and consumption, supporting the transition of mobility between vehicles powered by fossil fuels and vehicles with non-polluting fuels. The driver would control the efficiency of his vehicle online.
  • It allows certain services to be controlled, for example those provided in an intelligent city environment also called smart city, based on the level of polluting emissions associated with a the type of vehicle or based on the use given to the vehicle, controlling the polluting emissions produced by a vehicle to establish, for example, a certain charge or tax charge to be applied to the vehicle based on its level of emissions.
  • Last but not least, the use of Blockchain technology guarantees the integrity of the management and the use of the system by its users.
