Digital Single Market strategy for a Digital Health and Care Innovation initiative

The development of an ambitious European initiative on digital transformation of health and care in the context of the Digital Single Market needs the mobilisation of different stakeholders and the coordination of their activities, in order to prepare recommendations on future priorities for research, innovation and innovation deployment beyond the 2020 timeframe.

There is a need to support the engagement of relevant public and private stakeholders and initiatives (including at national and regional level) in the further preparation and implementation of the Digital health and care initiative, taking into account the current activities, including Horizon 2020, the AAL Joint Programme, the Joint Programming Initiative More Years-Better Lives, the eHealth Action Plan, the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing, the Blueprint on Digital Transformation of health and care, the Digitizing European Industry (DEI) initiative, including relevant PPPs, and EIT KIC Health.
