Dutch company in endurance sports wishes to capture previous timing results to build personal athlete profiles

Full description The historical timing data of the past 20 years of the company's events is a collection of unstructured, unstandardized and sometimes incomplete results of athletes participating in events. The aim is to use the data to build athlete profiles to connect their result data together. With this profile data the aim is to apply gamification principles to complete achievements and reward loyalty. The difficulty lies in structuring the data and determining which results belong to the same athlete based on limited data points. Also the solution should be futureproof and allow for extension of more events and editions of current events. Up until now the company has sought internal solutions, but not completed the project due to time constraints and complications in technical limitations, by entering the challenge these limits are aimed to be lifted. This technology request is part of an innovation challenge and is published on an open innovation platform from November 7, 2022 and will close on December 11, 2022. If an organization does express interest in collaboration with this company before closing date, it will be guided through this open innovation platform and will be introduced to its moderator and the company’s experts. Mind that posts on this platform are not confidential. Next step is that the company will select the SMEs with whom they would like to cooperate in the development of the solution.
