This Dutch SME has developed a multi-axis slicer for 3D printing. This multi-axis slicer can be used to calculate toolpaths and controls for any 3D printer, including 5 or more axis printers, like standard industrial robots. Their multi-axis slicing allows to overcome many of the limitations in conventional 3D printing. They seek partners that need to manufacture complex objects via 3D printing. A collaboration in the framework of a License agreement is offered.

The Dutch company supports the high-tech industry in developing and manufacturing competitive production systems and products.

They have developed a multi-axis slicer for 3D printing. This multi-axis slicer can be used to calculate toolpaths and controls for any 3D printer, including 5 or more axis printers, like standard industrial robots. Their multi-axis slicing allows to overcome many of the limitations in conventional 3D printing, like:

  • printing on top of existing surfaces (other curved objects)
    • avoiding overhang
    • printing with continuous fiber

They have already developed all codes in-house and can adjust the code quickly to the requirements of a client. Their multi-axis slicer is already used by a couple of companies world-wide.

Potential partners are organisations (industries, research institutes, universities) that need to manufacture complex objects via 3D printing. They offer a collaboration in the framework of a License agreement.

Advantages & innovations

  • Their software is available as an executable code, not as a source code • The slicing process works the same as any other ‘normal’ slicer except that the layer generation allows for curved layers.
