Project name:

Innovative traffic management system to provide integrated Monitor & Control heterogenous moiblities (ex. Drones, Ground robots, etc.) for government agencies and corporations.

Status: Idea
Creation date: 03-01-2023

Project objectives:

Short summary A Korean drone company established in 2018 specialized in Unmanned Aerial System platform and Smart Traffic Management system. The company’s main products are drone hardware and Smart Traffic Management software including Ground Control system for manned and unmanned mobilities, and plus, drone delivery service with its platforms. Government agencies and corporations in need of innovative delivery solution and traffic management are preferred for strategic collaboration and investment, or both.

Full description Korea company has been participating in numerous national demonstration projects in Korea to commercialize drone delivery and Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) Markets. U.S. branch (Arizona) was established in 2021 to expand its target market and has joined Northeast UAS Airspace Integration Research Alliance, Inc. (NUAIR) demonstrating drone delivery service in Syracuse, New York. 1. PAMNet is a Smart Traffic Management system to provide integrated control and monitoring of heterogenous mobilities. It has proved its capability in 2021 during the K-Drone System project integrating Incheon International Airport’s Air Traffic Management (ATM) with our web-based Ground Control system through PAMNet for integrated monitoring of traditional air vehicles and our UAS platform. 2. Drone delivery service commercialization project is ongoing in Korea collaborating with Korea Seven (7-Eleven), delivering convenient store goods to the designated landing station. It also demonstrated its capability of innovative logistics solutions in various national demonstration projects such as Book delivery service between public libraries etc. 3. ‘Bluebird’ is the company’s self-developed electric Vertical Take-off and Landing vehicle (eVTOL) capable of flying for 2 hours at one charge with 2kg of payload reaching approximately 140km of flight distance. The global drone industry has been struggling with regulations hampering the foundation of the wider commercialization of drone services. However, with U-space regulatory implementation by EASA, drone service is expected to be accepted and widely applicable to many industries in Europe in a few months. Korea company is seeking partners to form a joint venture who are capable of collecting local drone pilots to operate after the R&D or demonstration phase according to the certain needs at the business sites in Europe. Manual for operation and continuous technical support will be provided.

Advantages and innovations PAMNet is not only for traffic management of aerial vehicles but also wide array of ground control systems. It could provide integrated traffic management and data gathering of heterogenous mobilities such as unmanned ships, ground robots, drones and etc. while conventional ATMs are limited to that of aerial vehicles. Korean company is currently a consortium member of K-UAM Grand Challenge project (similar to NASA’s national AAM campaign) with PAMNet in charge of developing a traffic management system for Korean Urban Air Mobility. The company’s drone delivery method is acknowledged nationwide with successful completion of various national demonstration projects and the first commercialization project of the service in Korea. Drone delivery is more time efficient and flexible than current logistics eco-system on the road and is even expected to be cost-efficient when it reaches the level of autonomy
