Full description Lithuanian institute of science has developed a new technology to make custom laser diode packages, which are highly customizable in their geometry and base materials. Using their additive manufacturing technology, almost any type of laser housing units can be made and each unit can be tailored to exact user needs.

Advantages and innovations Materials such as stainless steel, aluminum oxide, titanium and copper can be applied with this technology. It is also possible to integrate internal electronics and optics during their development phase. This technology allows for very fast construction of a package of small quantities (one unit can be examined).
