For this reason, they have developed a sensor to be able to separate materials in waste. Full description A dutch SME developed a sensor capable of analysing and characterizing (non)ferro particles in bottom ash, “produced” by the waste & recycling industry. The sensor is capable of measuring the number of small particles in the materials stream and, therefore, directing a sorting instrument (existing or new) to separate the (non) ferro particles based on their properties scanned by the sensor. This sensor technology i, amongst onthers, interesting for several different industries in the waste & recycling sector
