CiaoTech - Gruppo PNO is the coordinator of the project LEADS - Creating and managing a pipeline of H2020 projects for the innovation fund on CCUS, funded under the Cluster 5 (Climate, Energy and Mobility) of Horizon Europe and aim at building innovation pipelines for low-carbon and CCUS technologies for energy-intensive industries (EII) from Horizon 2020 (H2020) and Horizon EUROPE (HEU) to the Innovation Fund (IF).

Exciting times at PNO Group as the collaborative project C4B just begun!

The CLEANHYPRO project, focusing on clean hydrogen production, aspires to become one of the most promising and groundbreaking manufacturing pilots in the field. This will be achieved by leveraging advanced characterization techniques, modeling, and complemented by non-technical services through Test Bed pilots.

Started on january 1st, 2024, the RE-WITCH project aims to deliver cost-competitive, game-changing solutions in the field of sustainable industrial cooling and heating. To do so, RE-WITCH will demonstrate advanced thermally-driven industrial cooling technologies based on ADsorption and ABsorption processes driven by an optimized mix of low-grade waste and renewable sources (innovative high vacuum flat plate solar collectors). Such solutions will be demonstrated in 4 demo sites encompassing food and beverage sectors as well as industrial sectors where heat-to-cold solutions are not yet widely explored (bio-refinery, pharmaceutical). The activity will be completed by studying the replicability of proposed technologies in replication sites even integrated with DHN.

The Autoship consortium has gathered in Brussels on January 29th, for the final project meeting to present the results achieved throughout the Autoship course and their real impacts on the maritime shipping industry to the project officer from CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency.

Our colleagues Ivan Panza and Manuela Guiducci presented the latest advancements in the strategies for exploitation and valorization of results, providing a comprehensive overview of the outcomes from the market and stakeholder analyses, which have enabled the identification of market trends, key players, and potential end-users.

Autoship, the largest project funded for a new generation of maritime innovation, has successfully demonstrated the operability of two autonomous ships, marking a paradigm shift in freight mobility and enabling the industry to tackle the challenge of zero emission transport.

We kick off 2024 with exceptional news: the Northern Lights Phase 2 project, supported by CiaoTech - PNO Group, has been selected to receive funding from the CEF-Energy Program, with a total grant of €131 million!

We are pleased to share this significant milestone with you: PNO has initiated a collaboration with the Global CCS Institute, a well-known international think tank supporting the development of CCS worldwide.

Wrapping up the year on a transformative note! Last week, Taira, Marco, and Ron from our R&D Advisory Services team concluded a dynamic, extremely fun, and very productive two-day training workshop, collaborating with a group of 12 professionals from the REMODEL project. Together, we delved into the intricacies of Business Model Innovation within the hospitality industry.

On December 20th, 2023, CiaoTech - Gruppo PNO hosted the SEAMLESS consortium for the second General Assembly of the project: an exciting day filled with discussions, exchange of ideas, and comparisons of the results achieved by the consortium to revolutionize the Short Sea Shipping and Inland Waterway Transport domains, through the development of an integrated offering of technological solutions, revolving around autonomy in the maritime industry.
