Indus3Es project, in the frame of Horizon 2020 TOPIC EE-18-2015, is now in the six month of implementation. The consortium partners will met all together at TU Berlin facilities to discuss on project progresses and to plan next steps. 

Innovation projects can be done in-house, but more often they are done in open innovation settings, with partners and technologies from outside your organisation.

How nice would it be if all devices could communicate with each other in a smart way? Europe is giving a lot of attention to this in the coming years by focusing on 'Internet of Things'. Considerable subsidy is therefore available in 2016 and 2017.

The European Commission has released draft versions of the Horizon 2020 Work Programmes for 2016 and 2017. The official adoption and the publication of the Work Programmes are expected in mid-October 2015.

CLIPS – Cloud Innovation in Public Services – is a pilot project funded by the EC, with the aim of developing a new approach to delivering public services through the use of Cloud computing. CLIPS are particularly keen to engage with SMEs who are involved in the delivery of Cloud based services, please get in touch!

Ciaotech, partner and Dissemination and Exploitation leader of the I-PAN project, is glad to invite you to the Final Conference which will be held at IBL Spa (S.P. 31 bis, Reg. Cavallino 8), in Coniolo (AL – Italy) on September, 30. During the event the consortium will explain all activities and results of the project.

Next to nationwide grants, there are also two European financial opportunities for innovative SMEs. But because of the popularity of the SME Instrument, organisations often forget Eurostars. And that’s a pity, as a dedicated SME program, Eurostars hasn’t to be forgotten. Especially for the reason SMEs can use the two programs in extension of each other.

BIO-MIMETIC is a 36 months project co-financed by the European 7th Framework Programme for Research and Development. The project generated a new class of bioinspired polymers through the extraction of natural compounds from renewable resources. The production of new bio-inspired polymers utilises environmentally sustainable processes.

Lazio Region announced the start of the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) 2014-2020. It is composed of 45 Actions, 38 of which will be launched by December 2015.

James Cogan from PNO Consultants has been invited to present on the topic ‘Creating new market for biobased products through public procurement’ at the Roundtable ‘Removing barriers within the internal market for the Bioeconomy. The meeting is organized by MEP Lambert van Nistelrooij (PPE) with the support of the newly established European BioEconomy Alliance (EBA), and will be held in Brussels at the European Parliament on the 20th April 2015.

The BIO-MIMETIC project is generating a new class of novel bio-derived polymers for application in household products via extraction of natural compounds from renewable resources. BIO-MIMETIC is now in the third year of activities, several results have obtained: Lignin has been extracted from a range of plant sources, enzymes transforming lignin for use in consumer products have been expressed and computer simulations aimed to study lignin derivatives in solution have been carried out.
