The LIFE CRAL project (LIFE15ENV/IT/000303)"Industrial pilot plant for semisolid process route with eco-compatible feedstock materials" aims at drastically cutting emissions in aluminium production, eliminating any pollutants by substituting it with recycled aluminium and eco-magnesium, and completely avoiding highly polluting gases for the magnesium process. The main objective of the proposed innovation activities, developed by FRENI BREMBO SPA and CANNON ERGOS S.P.A., is to kick-start a breakthrough line, at pre-industrial scale, able to produce high-quality and light-weight components in a safe and clean manner.

The purpose of this survey is to collect feedbacks from the most important stakeholders within and around the LIFE CRAL value chain and assess their position towards the proposed innovation in order to assess the potential impacts on current and future demand, the relevant business scenarios and the possible adoption and acceptance barriers. The H2020-funded European STOP-IT research project, which is dealing with the protection of water infrastructures from cyber and physical threats, has reached its second stage.

KaRMA2020 will participate in the 23^rd edition of ECOMONDO, the leading Euro-Mediterranean area green and circular economy expo, which will take place in Rimini (Italy) from 5^th to 8^th November.

During ECOMONDO CiaoTech, dissemination and exploitation leader of the KaRMA2020 project, will organize and coordinate the innovation workshop KaRMA2020 : from feather waste to market opportunities for innovative bio-based plastics, fertilisers, flame retardants and technical coatings. During the workshop, representatives from KaRMA2020 will explain how is possible to exploit at industrial level such underutilized feather waste for the production of valuable raw material to develop products for cross-sectorial applications.

In addition, KaRMA2020 project will also exhibit its results and progresses in two different sessions: a poster presentation, which will take place on November 5^th during The management of industrial waste: critical and potential of Italian system by a comparison with other European countries session, and an oral presentation, which will be held on November 6^th during the session Innovative solutions of waste prevention and management: operational and assessment tools.
